The goggles have been tested by the University of New South Wales for impact resistance and meet the requirements of AS 1337 -1992 "Eye protectors for industrial applications".

Blueye also did in house testing on the goggles using a 12 gauge shotgun. Premium factory loaded Winchester super ranger cartridges containing 4 shot were fired at the goggles from varying distances through a fully choked barrel. Results were as follows;
1: Fired at from 40 metres : Slight indentation of the lens. Frame unmarked. 2: Fired at from 25 metres: Visible indentation of the lens. Slight marking of the frame. 3: Fired at from 15 metres: Lens cracked on impact in the centre only. Frame remained almost unmarked.
Even at 15 metres the lens did not shatter and only cracked down the centre.
